Rosemarisms (part deux)

On Mother's Day, I posted a few quotes my mom, Rosemary,
is famous for saying (click here).
Here are a few more to ponder. Enjoy!

1. "Make a silk purse out of a sow's ear."
Take what you have, as bad as it may be, and make it beautiful.

2. "Choose your battles, win your wars."
You don't have to win every confrontation.
Allow for a bit of a loss, to gain in another area.

3. "I'm getting out my skinnin' tool."
My boys think this "skinnin" tool exists, but they are not quite sure.
Usually stated when they are doing something not quite appropriate.

4. "Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda"
You can't live your life in the past. Move on!

5. "Been there. Done that."
No explanation needed for what you are going through. I understand.

6. "Men get old really fast."
Technically, my grandma said this to my mom. But, my mom told it to me. Either way--Beware, men get old really fast.

That's all I have today.

Been working my butt off, today is a play day!

Any words of wisdom?

One of my Mom's favs...
"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it."

As much as I love my Mom, I have always HATED that saying.

As far as I'm concerned, I am always at the bridge and -- if it means a lot to me -- I am ready to go on over !

Wise "Rosemarisms" there Angie! BTW my mom's favourite is: "if it's going to be for your good, let it come. If not let it go by" - I know it loses on the translation! :)
