Business is getting to me.
Business is good, very good.
I just need a little pick me up.
Well, a little pampering goes a long way.
Time for a pedicure.....with sparkly, funky blue toes!
There was other pampering, too, but you'll have to ask me about it.
I had a speaking engagement today with The Compass Club of Toledo. The presentation went well. It is a great group of people. In the end, we were talking about the importance of taking care of yourself. I mentioned our house rule which my boys know and understand:
You have to take care of yourself. They even tell you this on airplanes: "Place your mask on yourself before helping others."
So why do we forget this in our lives?
Get out there and do something for yourself.
Be selfish if you must. It's OK.

Hey, I scheduled some "toe time" on my wedding anniversary next week, which is the day before we leave for our 10th anniversary celebration in Chi-ca-go!

I couldn't agree with you more Angie! I had a manicure and pedicure almost 2 weeks ago, heaven it is! My toes are not blue, but they look and feel great!
I'm having my "me" time right now - had a BNI meeting at 7:30 am, worked in the store from 9:30 am until I went to my "new" job and got home at 10:30 pm.
It's now midnight, husband is watching TV in the bedroom through closed eyelids, and I'm surfing the web, reading e-mails and friends' blogs, and playing games. BIG FUN!
